Can I place hot pans directly on my granite countertops?
Granite is naturally heat-resistant and can generally withstand hot pots and pans without damage. However, to ensure the longevity of the sealer and prevent thermal shock, we always recommend using a trivet or hot pad. Quartz, on the other hand, contains resin which can be damaged by extreme heat, so trivets are a must for quartz.
How do I clean my new stone countertops?
For daily cleaning, warm water and a mild, non-acidic dish soap are best. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or vinegar, especially on granite, as they can strip the sealer over time. For quartz, avoid abrasive scrubbing pads that could dull the polish.
Will my granite countertops stain?
Granite is a porous stone, but we apply a high-quality industrial sealer upon installation to prevent staining. With proper sealing (recommended once a year) and wiping up spills promptly, especially acidic substances like wine, lemon juice, or tomato sauce, your granite will remain stain-free for decades.
