Durable, But Not Indestructible
While quartz is tough, it does have a few rules to keep it looking pristine.
Heat Sensitivity
The resin in quartz can be damaged by sudden, extreme heat. Always use a trivet or hot pad. Placing a hot pot directly from the stove onto quartz can cause "thermal shock" or discolor the resin (burn marks).
Cleaning
Use mild soap and water or a non-abrasive surface cleaner.
UV Exposure
Quartz is for indoor use only. Direct, long-term exposure to strong sunlight (like an outdoor BBQ) can cause the colors to fade or warp over time.
